Gage R&R Study — Two-way ANOVA (Crossed)
Enter number of parts, operators, repetitions and paste measurements for each Part×Operator cell (values comma-separated). The tool runs ANOVA, estimates variance components, GRR, % contribution and ndc.
Format example for 3 parts × 2 operators × 2 reps (p=3,o=2,r=2):
P1O1: 10.02, 9.98
P1O2: 10.05, 10.01
P2O1: 9.70, 9.75
P2O2: 9.68, 9.72
P3O1: 10.40, 10.45
P3O2: 10.38, 10.42
P1O2: 10.05, 10.01
P2O1: 9.70, 9.75
P2O2: 9.68, 9.72
P3O1: 10.40, 10.45
P3O2: 10.38, 10.42
Notes
- This tool assumes a crossed study: all operators measure all parts, with r repeated measurements per Part×Operator cell.
- Variance components estimated by method-of-moments from ANOVA mean-squares:
σ²_e = MSE σ²_po = max(0,(MS_PO - MSE)/r) σ²_p = max(0,(MS_P - MS_PO)/(o*r)) σ²_o = max(0,(MS_O - MS_PO)/(p*r))
- GRR includes repeatability (EV), reproducibility (AV), and interaction (IOV):
GRR = sqrt(EV² + AV² + IOV²).
